As for the Daleks, the writers have plenty of options.

- continue with the m & m Daleks
- Release some more from the void after they were all sucked back there at the end of Army of Ghosts / Doomsday.
- Bring back Davros with some new gold Daleks
- Thaw out the army on Spirodon.

I would rather like to see an alternative media Alien species getting a debut this year. Chelonians (the FICTIONAL ones!), Pakhars, Reosians. He'll I would even give Josiah W Dogbolter a chance in live action.

Bringing back Davros with his own Daleks would be the best idea as they could reintroduce faction fighting like in the late 80's Dalek episodes. Davros and the 2005-2010 Daleks would have to win of course

Personally, I think that the worst thing that ever happened to the Daleks was the introduction of the Davros character. Although 'Genesis Of The Daleks' is an out-and-out classic, the Daleks lost all sense of menace and became just another faculty of in-fighting monsters following the lead of a 'Hitler' like meglomaniac

I'd like to see the series shift away from the fantasy side of things and get a bit darker again. Maybe time for more horror, like BRAIN OF MORBIUS.

The Chelonians are all over the show. Novels, comics, short stories and Audi books. They are pretty awsome villains actualy. I believe they where mentioned in The Pandorica Opens and one of the ships seen in that episode was clearly them, thus meaning they MAY well have a future on the show.
Pakhars are a race of aliens who worship Yog-sothoth of Lovecraftion fame. They to have appeared in novels and audio plays but have never even been mentioned in the tv series.
Reosians are a primitive, reptilion like species who appeared in the Doctor Who Magazine comic issue #140 "Keepsake" (a crossover with a Marvel comics character) which took the Seventh Doctor and another person hostage (presumably to reenact Cannible Holocaust!) before the Doctor escapes and is rescued by Keepsake. The Reosians have since appeared a few other times but as they are confined to the planet Reos they arnt major villains.
Josiah W Dogbolter is another comic book character who first appeared in DWM #84 "The Moderator".
Basically a poor mans Harold Saxon, Dogbolter is a hugely wealthy business man.......... Who happens to be a Human-Frog.......
OK.
Long story short, Dogbolter wants to buy the TARDIS, the Doctor insults him, big explosion, crazy robot bounty hunter, crazy human bounty hunter who like Dame Vera Lin, and a Crossover with Marvel character DeathsHead lead Dogbolter to become a major villain in the Doctor Who universe.

Thats some knowledge of the mags comic strip Hawkmonger.

Although i have been buying the mag since its very first issue and still have them all (The monthlies anyway, i threw the comics away twenty years ago). I barely ever read the strip unless a known enemy is involved. The last one i read involved Sycorax on an island in the pacific.

Ah that is indeed a fine one. It's interesting to note just how integrated into the Marvel universe. Indeed it is believed to have been Rassilon and Merlin who granted all life in the marvel universe the opportunity to have super powers. Awesome right!
