A good story, but...it contains one of the worst plot devices in the history of the world!!!

From episode 3:

SUSAN: So you are the senior Elder?
1ST ELDER: Signified by the twin sash I wear. The Second Elder, my advisor, wears one sash.

Later in the episode

ADMINISTRATOR: You can see my collar of office. I am the city Administrator.
CAROL: Yes, I'm sorry, but when your backs are turned, it's very difficult to see. I don't know what we'd all do if you changed your badges and sashes. We wouldn't be able to tell you apart.
ADMINISTRATOR: I have never thought of that.

From episode 4:

ADMINISTRATOR: Bring the Second Elder to me. Alone. The girl Carol gave me an idea. How would you recognise the Second Elder at a distance?
ENGINEER: By the sash he wears.

later in the episode

ADMINISTRATOR: I wear your sash of office. Who is to know that I am not the Second Elder now?

So, you can only tell the Sensorites apart by the different sashes they wear. Even the Administrator had not considered this fact. Hmmm - I wonder how an evil Sensorite could use that information!!!

Default Moffat on Monsters.

From the latest issue of Doctor Who magazine.

On Dark Waters / Death in Heaven.

"I really wanted to do a Cyberman story. They were always my favourite monster as a kid and i'd never used them in a story except as supporting characters. I'd started rather dangerously to turn them into a bit of a joke at times. They're thrown away as a gag at the beginning of A Good Man Goes to War. So i wanted to do a proper scary one."

On the return of the Paradigm Daleks.

"You know when someone asks Does my bum look big in this?"

So cryptically that sounds like they will return...or perhaps not.

Flatline... Not as good as the episodes from the last three weeks however that being said I did find it entertaining. 7 or a 6 out of 10 if I had to rank it.

After knocking the show for the past two weeks and thinking that this weeks episode was going to be another 'Love & Monsters', I have to say great episode! Really did enjoy this one, liked the monsters, the resolution to the story and most of all 'Thing', that had me laughing.

I too really liked this one. Jamie Matheson is the best writer this season imo. With this and last week's mummy episode under his belt i hope he writes some more for next year.

Funny, creepy, more fine performances from Peter, Jenna and the rest of the cast, and yeah - Thing as well.

Next week's episode looks good from first impressions as well.

The girl MTDS and I really enjoyed this one and for me it was the second week in a row where I didn't find myself having the urge to kill Clara. On a side note the girl MTDS really likes the new Dr after having concerns that he might be too grumpy from the way the series was advertised before transmission.

It made me smile the episode was set in Bristol.

Even the TARDIS gets buggered when it materializes near Ron.

I was expecting by the end of the show to see a gorilla use the TARDIS as a condom down at the docks.
