It has it's moments, like any Who story it's never all bad.

I love the Cybermen entrance at the end of episode one. The whole "They saved my life", "Don't thank them yet" set up is very good. In fact as a whole part one is very good.

Just a shame it all goes pear shaped about five minutes into episode two.

Short notice, but apparently just before Strictly they did the usual Capaldi BBC ident, and the announcer told us to keep watching after the finale for "a special Time Lord treat".

I would imagine it's the trailer for the Christmas special

Incidentally, has anyone else noticed that on the ident before the show, with the cyclists going around the roundabout, the Dalek seems to be shooting them using its eyestalk instead of its gun?

Well, that was a bloody brilliant final episode. Michelle Gomez was just amazing, and hopefully it's not the last we've seen of her.

Agreed.

Plus Cybermen getting their fear factor back.

Did the shadowy figures sitting up in the brief trailer make you think of Ice Warriors or Silurians? Not the mouth, but the top of the head?

Yeah, both in the picture, and (well, not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet).

For me, the entire 'season' was the best one since 'season' 13 - Terror of the Zygons/Planet of Evil/Pyramids of Mars/The Android Invasion /The Brain of Morbius/The Seeds of Doom
