You can pretty much jump most of episode 2 - it's nothing more than a James Bond style car/helicopter/hovercraft chase that was probably included to indulge Jon Pertwee's love of gadgets!

Daemons for me.

Pretty much the entire Pertwee era is made up of solid stories though so you can't really go wrong.
