The Time Meddler.

A wonderful historical first doctor story set in 1066 evolving a viking invasion and a time meddling monk played wonderfully by quite sinister Peter Butterworth.

I watched Marco Polo last night.

Whilst enjoyable, so much is missed out to bring 7 x 25 minute episodes down to a single 30 mins that it feels like a jolly travelogue rather than a dangerous adventure trek.

Sadly the extremely atmospheric singing sands part is left out altogether. That is brilliant on the cd soundtrack release.

It would be nice.

I've said this before on here. I think after watching Power that the Daleks are a lot more successful as animations than the humans who seem rather wooden and immobile. Meaning i would stick to stories involving Daleks or Cybermen or other robot types rather than human stories.

In the past someone mentioned The Wheel in Space. That would be a good choice as the Cybermen would probably look good as would the servo robot and the space scenes. Plus of course they also have a couple of proper episodes to work with.

get what you mean about humans etc as the animation style just could not get Troughton's very expressive face right, he just came across as very creepy/evil looking!
