Even as a child, on first viewing in 1973, I thought the scariest thing about 'Carnival Of Monsters' is the dodgy CSO

Not that I knew what it was called at the time

Although it has grown on me a bit over the years, Carnival Of Monsters has never been one of my favourite Pertwee stories.

I think exactly the same. All the stuff with the Inter Minorians and Lurmans borders on embarrassing.

I think it's easily one of the absolute best of his era, personally...

That's the beauty of classic Doctor Who. There's always somebody who loves it.

Geezer Butler with the song 'Among The Cybermen' from his 1997 solo album 'Black Science'

**NOTE - It takes a bit of time before it gets started

Talking about the Doctor Who connection in this song, Geezer has stated: "Yes, the lyrics were originally about the death of Doctor Who. The original chorus was "Doctor Who lies dead among the Cybermen", about the final battle of Dr. Who, but was supposed to be symbolic of the end of childhood. I changed it because I thought it sounded a bit silly"

"Ice cold killer
Brings Death's sweet darkness
Close my eyes, say a last farewell
Now who forgot my angry side
I'll return by starlight
Tell me who lies dead among the Cybermen
How long can they keep him underground

Saint of shades filles my clone with Spook Songs
Who can blame my angry side
I'll return by twilight

Robots sanction my extreme unction
Clockwork ciphers delete my soul
Now who forgot my angry side

Tell me who lies dead among the Cybermen"
