It was only when I started thinking about collecting them that I realised how many there was!! Makes you wonder whether they could release more episodes on Blu discs to make collecting them an achievable objective without moving out of the house.

Whats you favourite episode Dem? It seems Susan is a big Doctor Who fan also on here?
My faves per Doctor are

1st - The Aztecs, The Daleks, The War Machines, The Romans.

2nd - The Web of Fear, The Seeds of Death, The Invasion, The War Games

3rd - The Silurians, The Mind of Evil, The Daemons, The Sea Devils, Death to the Daleks. I also love the newly remastered Day of the Daleks as well.

I'll get back to you shortly with the remaining Doctors as i have to quickly nip out.

4th - Genesis of the Daleks, The Robots of Death, Horror of Fang Rock, Image of the Fendahl, The Ribos Operation, The Keeper of Traken.

5th - Earthshock, Enlightenment, Frontios, Resurrection of the Daleks, The Caves of Androzani.

6th - Revelation of the Daleks, Terror of the Vervoids

7th - Remembrance of the Daleks, Ghostlight, Curse of Fenric, Survival.

Although i only listed two Colin Baker stories i think they are all quite enjoyable although Timelash is easily his worst story. There are so many great Tom Baker stories it's hard to pick four or five. You could easily add Terror of the Zygons, Talons of Weng-Chiang, Seeds of Doom, Brain of Morbius, Pyramids of Mars, The Deadly Assassin, City of Death, Destiny of the Daleks, Full Circle, to the list.

A dalek being prepared for a scene in 'The Chase'

Sadly, the effect didn't work as required, so a model was used instead

Cheers Dem, already have a few Tom Baker but nowhere near complete.

I remember when I was much, much younger when Peter Davidson became the Doctor I started to lose interest, he was a bloody vet in my eyes!! Sylvester McCoy used to irritate me, yet now I can watch any of the historical Doctors and enjoy them.

Just purchased

Thank you. Yes, I am a fan and (like you) I started watching the show during the Pertwee era and stayed with it thru thick and thin. I have also caught up with the still existing Hartnell and Troughton stories, first on the cable channel UKGold back in the 90's and then the DVD releases. I now have them all, including the 'children' series - 'Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, K-9 (the Australian one) and the animated shows

I like all the stories, but rather than swamp this post with just a list of ever story, the ones that I watch most often or make me smile at the mention of the titles are:
  • William Hartnell: The Edge Of Destruction, The Dalek Invasion Of Earth, The Tenth Planet
  • Patrick Troughton: The Tomb Of The Cybermen, The Web Of Fear, The Mind Robber
  • Jon Pertwee: Spearhead From Space, Terror Of The Autons, The Time Warrior
  • Tom Baker: The Ark In Space, Planet Of Evil, The Talons Of Weng-Chiang
  • Peter Davison: Kinda, Black Orchid, Mawdryn Undead
  • Colin Baker: Vengeance On Varos, Mark Of The Rani, The Two Doctors
  • Sylvester McCoy: Remembrance Of The Daleks, The Greatest Show In The Galaxy, The Curse Of Fenric
  • Paul McGann: The Movie
  • Christopher Eccleston: Rose, The Unquiet Dead, Dalek
  • David Tennant: The Christmas Invasion, Human Nature/Family Of Blood, Midnight
  • Matt Smith: The Vampires Of Venice, Night Terrors, Hide
  • Peter Capaldi: Listen, Mummy On The Orient Express, Face The Raven

Thanks for the info Susan, I think between Dem and yourself I have plenty to focus on, I shall leave my viewing habits here and look forward to your views. There is certainly much more passion on here for Doctor Who than I thought.
