Default Pic of the Day # 331 - The Christmas Specials

The Feast of Steven - Christmas Day 1965.

The Doctor wishes us a Merry Christmas.

Although the episode was originally black and white, not much in the way of stills exist from this episode, and it is of my opinion that this colorized telesnap works better than the original.

I do hope Missy makes a return in the new series or at least isn't forgotten about, given the right material the character could be fantastic and c'mon Michele Gomez is just wonderful at everything she does.

Reading The Frood (Douglas Adams biog) and in the 'Creation' chapter there are a few titbits about his time as Script Editor. Nothing earth shattering but it does give you some idea how swamped Adams was at the time. All his own doing of course. No one forced him to take the job. Ahem.

Speaking of Douglas Adams can someone explain the ending of Shada to me?

I don't understand why after the events at Shada the professor was sat drinking tea with the Doctor and Romana. After stealing a Tardis of his own, stealing the book from the Panoptican, masquerading as Chronotis despite been a highly dangerous criminal he's let off completely scot free. Did I miss something?

I don't. An absolutely awful character.

He's not a highly dangerous criminal, though; his "crimes" were completely exaggerated, much like the Doctor's own "crimes".
Given that he's essentialy exiled himself to Oxford for a lifetime anyway, I imagine the Time Lords just let him get on with it...

Exactly.

After all... 'Oxford's a complete dump'.
