Another TARGET book review, from the early 80's Marvel 'Doctor Who' comic

What's interesting is the fact that the novel 'The Tenth Planet' seems to contain more narrative from the following story, 'The Power Of The Daleks' including a description of the new Doctor and more dialogue. It's also worth noting that the Doctor's first words seem to have been changed. Here, he says 'hello' to Ben and appears lucid, while in the televised/animated story, his first words are 'slower, slower. Concentrate on one thing at a time'

Sadly, I don't have the paperback of 'Power Of The Daleks', so I am unable to check how it begins to see if it's the same as this, or whether the story has been re-written again!

Rumour has it...that one of the stories in the new series is going to be centered around Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights movement

The second one isn't it. The one which possibly features Judoon. It's supposedly set in America but filmed in South Africa.

Shame such an important true event couldn't be done purely as a historical and educational story, without the use of alien interference

I'm really not sure Doctor Who should be used to educate in such matters, to me it trivializes events such as this. Oh it was because the Doctor told her to do it.

Revenge of the Cybermen and Silver Nemesis have their merits even though both get a lot of stick from fans. I love the cliffhanger to the first episode of Nemesis.

Both are head and shoulders above dross like Nightmare in Silver.
