Sad news. As Edgar Wright said, he was a true Gentleman.

The Brig was a great character and part of one of my very favourite eras of Who, particularly season 7 which has never been bettered imo.

RIP

*raises hand*

Another DW fan here. McCoy is my #1 favourite Doctor, Troughton & Smith round out the top 3.

And R.I.P to the Brig.

Unhappy Elisabeth Sladen RIP

Have just read on the BBC news site that Elisabeth Sladen better known as Sarah Jane Smith the companion to both Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee has just lost her battle with cancer.

She was in my opionion one of the best companions to the doctors and not just there to scream her head off when required.

She will be missed...

I never knew there was a Doctor Who thread, and never looked for one .

It is a terrible shame about Elisabeth Sladen.

Thanks for some wonderful childhood memories.

I read about Elisabeth Sladen today in the newspaper. Very sad news indeed.

I really enjoyed last nights episode and think that the new series is going to be a winner. Just rewatched all of the last season and think Matt Smith is an excellent Doctor the best of the new seasons so far!

Nice short tribute to Elisabeth Sladen after the show on CBBC.

I also have just rewatched the last series, and liked it a lot more than when i first saw it.

Missed last night episode as i didn't get back from football soon enough.

Will catch up on BBC3 on Friday night , then have two episodes in two days.

(forgot to sky+ it)

How are my Lab friends finding the Sixth Series of New Who?

I like the fact that the stories appear to have got smarter and that we still haven't learnt mysteries from the last series, such as why Amy's house has a third storey.

The opening double header was superb. Quite a scary story for youngsters i think.

Heard all sorts of rumours that the regenerating girl is Amy's baby, or the baby is Riversong. It should be interesting.

I didn't like The Curse Of The Black Spot at all. Every line spoken by Matt Smith was a quip and just didn't work imo. Getting sick of Rory dying every episode as well.

I thought The Doctor's Wife was both terrible and brilliant in equal measures. The opening Twenty minutes were awful as i didn't like any of the guest characters. As it went on it got better though with some quite touching scenes between the Doctor and Sexy.

I personally am missing the monsters, we haven't had one for two stories, and would love to see another classic villain brought back. Doesn't have to be a big double episode story, it was great to have the Macra pop up at the end of Gridlock.
A single episode with the Wirrn, Krotons, Nimon etc would be brilliant.
