Just realized Smith is the only Doctor not to have met The Master. I hope he doesn't go out having never come across his oldest enemy.

Went on a trip to Wales with some college chums to (shudder) catalogue sea weed. So took my audio book copy og The Web Planet (Target Novel) read by Russel. I forgot how much better this story was as a book than a TV story. Might pick up one of the sequels to continue the adventure, what an epic story line!

On the subject of that character I'd have loved to seen more of Derek Jacobis Master.

I've just finished series 3 of the new series. I really do find RTD's run infuriating at times. The pop culture stuff really grates (the Master watching the Teletubbies, Sharon Osbourne and Ann Widdecombe's Saxon endorsement videos), everyone willing the Doctor back from being an aged dwarf into a Super Mega Doctor through physical prayer) but then you get a scene like the Doctor willing the Master to regenerate after being shot which is incredibly powerful and well-executed and shows you what the show can be capable of.

I don't think Hartnell or Troughton met him either.
