I have a VHS copy of Spearhead From Space in the attic which I bought off eBay about 7 years ago. I'll probably be upgrading at some point!

I only have the new release as I don't keep the first issues if I buy a re-visitation, however the main reason I'm not buying the blu-ray is to avoid temptation for future classic series blu-ray releases as one will almost certainly lead to another then the next thing you know I'll be back needing another 120 odd titles to complete a new collection so I am staying firm with this one (for now lol)

There's no way Doctor Who is going anywhere anytime soon.

BBC Worldwide are basically moaning because profits are down due to lack of episodes in the last two years.

cue: even more special edition dvd releases

unless of course the recovered episodes rumour turns out to be true, then they will be very busy.

if they are worried about losing revenue why not do full animations of all lost episodes? come to think of it, why not animate the big finish episodes as there's enough there to keep them in dvd releases for years to come?

Its the sales of the current series overseas where the money is, rather than the classic dvd releases. They will earn far more from a complete 13 episode run instead of a five and eight run.

Nice Nu Who BD set the US seems to get (I said "seems" as the amazon link is not working):

DAVID TENNANT NEWS UPDATES: USA Release: Doctor Who Season 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Gift Set

It would be worth a thought, if I did not have all of this, well, except the Ecclestone and Tennent years only on DVD...

No mention of the Tennant specials. I can't see them not being on there though.

They are there. The photo on the Amazon link shows them.

Good to see the link works now

But where do you see the DT Specials in the amazon picture? Just out of curiosity, I can't see anything...

Hope it's clear enough. The case in the middle says The Complete Specials.
