Love this pic. David Bradley certainly has that 'Why me? I'm smiling but i'd prefer to be anywhere but here' expression that Hartnell did so well.

Shada

From what I'm hearing, the steelbox release is going to be a 3 disc edition. The first two discs have the same contents as the DVD and Blu-Ray versions, while the third disc will apparently contain the 1992 VHS version of the story and the animation of the McGann one (this time fully playable on the telly)

However, the announcement said 'including', so it's possible that there will be additional features as well

The rumour doing the rounds was that the third disc might contain a trailer or some info on possibly found missing episodes. The fact that the third discs contents was embargoed until this week helped to stoke the rumours.

Yes you're right it was Monday when the third disc was announced. I could have sworn it was last week.

Never thought there'd be missing episodes but I had hoped the 3rd disc might have (since there must be, what, barely an hour of animation in Shada?) animated one of the BF Tom/Lalla stories. Oh well. No interest in the McGann one and I've already got the original DVD so I'll stick with the normal Blu.

More rumblings about BBC Worldwide (who now apparently haven't bothered to tell buyers of the Series 10 boxset which episodes are on which discs!):
