Nonsense!

Voyager and The Next Gen were consistently average.

Star Trek Voyager - not content with stealing The Cybermen

and calling them 'The Borg'

the episode "Tinker Tenor, Doctor, Spy" also finds them guilty of stealing The Sontarans

and calling them 'The Hierarchy'

The 'Star Trek' universe - moving with the times, but taking a step backwards!

Should Star Trek use the F word? | Den of Geek

"In one of the lighter moments in last week’s episode of Star Trek: Discovery, while working on a way to use Discovery’s spore drive without the tardigrade known as Ripper, Cadet Sylvia Tilly exclaimed, “You guys, this is so f*cking cool!” Suddenly realising she was on duty in a military workplace, she immediately apologised, and Lt Paul Stamets reassured her, “It is f*cking cool”. It was the first time anyone has ever used ‘the F word’ in canon on Star Trek. Some were amused. Some were horrified. Some thought it was about f*cking time."

It felt off to me, a weird moment in an otherwise excellent episode.

I was ok with it, never understood why People wouldn't swear in the 24th century ( granted it didn't feeling right in that scene)I do like how n discovery the federation is not the unrealistic goody two shoes of the other shows, you couldn't really blame the kilingons etc for not liking them with forcing there views on everyone. in one of the episodes of DS nine Quark hits the nail on the head by saying the federation are worse than the Borg, how many societys have been assimilated to human ideals etc, at least the Borg tell you!

In typical raging hate filled star trek fashion the so called fans seem more upset that there are two gay men on the ship! Some of the comments would make you think they lived in Victoria times and had no idea of Genes vision of how race etc didn't matter.

Silver Nemesis.

Ace: They saved my f*ckin' life.
The Doctor: Don't thank them yet. We might live to regret it.
Ace: What the f*ck are they?
The Doctor: Cybermen.

That would be realistic and fit the character of Ace and no I'm not saying people should start swearing in Doctor who,but in if those things happened in real life and you traveled with the doctor, I bet most of us would swear a lot.

I agree. It's a lot more realistic than the nonsense she spouted. 'You bilge-bag'

However it still wouldn't feel right in Doctor Who.
