Just watched Rogue One......Tarkin and Vader were the highlights for me.
Krennic also made a good villain.

Don't know if I'll enjoy it more second time round, but I was slightly underwhelmed.

One film a year is too much.

The sort of 3 - 4 year gap between the originals, made us hunger for the next installment.

I enjoyed it more on a second viewing. Expectations were too high first time around as I had read numerous people stating that it was the best SW film since Empire Strikes Back! Not surprising that I found it disappointing after OTT accolades like that. It's a solid film and significantly better than The Force Awakens imho.

They should stop with these films now. What was once a ****ing fantastic trilogy is now on a 9 film overkill overdrive and the magic, at least as far as i'm concerned, is dwindling.
At least the films are decent and watchable .
I mean after all how many films are getting milked and most are crap awful or meh at the best.

Fast and furious
Friday 13th
Star trek
Halloween
Children of the corn
Nightmare on elm st
Transformers is going that way
Hellraiser
Saw
Alien
TCM
Even still milking Harry potter

Are some that are getting milked shitless , remakes , sequels, reboots, or what ever you want to call them ..at least Final destination quit while they was ahead and I enjoyed everyone one of them .

I still have a hard time accepting any Star Wars film post Jedi, I still view it as a trilogy. I kind of liked The Force Awakens, but I treat it as a separate entity, I detested 1-3.

As for the Alien series, I really like every film, even Prometheus.

I'd rate Episodes 1-3 higher than the two Alien vs Predator films.

I don't really count the AvP films as part of the Alien series, both films are pretty bad, although I'd take both over the Star Wars prequels.

I like the first AvP film but that second one is an abomination.

Just finished Rogue One.

First half was fairly average, second half from the council meeting onwards was excellent.

Don't know why people cried about Cushing, i thought he was brilliant.
