Also, it wasn't just children in Star Wars clothing and toy lifesavers as when I was leaving there were three adults in the foyer posing for photographs (not sure if they were fans or paid by Cineworld) dressed as a Storm Trooper, Chewbacca and Darth Vader! There may have been another in the group but I can't be sure and, if there were four of them, don't know what character they were betraying. It seems there is something about Star Wars which captured the imagination of children and adults in 1977 and is passed on with every generation as parents introduce the films to their children and young relatives (or children of friends) which no other film series can match.
Ha,ha if you'd just said that in the first place.

As for toy lifesavers? I assume you mean Light Sabre's and it's a translation thing.

Yes, I did mean light sabres, and my original post is amended as such!

I would argue that the 3 Disney films, Force Awakens, Rogue One and Last Jedi are better films than the prequel trilogy.

I kind of understand what you mean but Rogue One is also a prequel to Star Wars:A New Tacked on Subtitle which Rogue One leads into.

The prequel trilogy would have worked much better had they been reedited and deleted some of the stuff too.

Is it actually true that hardcore fans came up with their own ideas and theories and hate the new film because it doesn't go down the route of their ideas or is it just an urban myth type thing?

I'm sure it'll be out on dvd for Easter when i'll no doubt give it a watch.
