I have to admit that trailer has got me well excited. I wasn't paying any attention to any details or hype about this film but when I watched the trailer for the first time my jaw dropped. It looks pretty epic to be honest, cannot wait for this now.

im stoked for both flicks!
Spring is gonna be a HUGE period with these 2 monsters coming out!

the huge face statue looks amazing and its cool that they will be using live action where possible instead of cheapen out and use CGI. I wonder how the rating will affect the flick as its going to be PG-13.

Ridley Scott has said there will be no xenomorphs from his original Alien movie but that doesn't mean to say that there won't be something similar

I am more excited about this film than I have been by anything in years. I think it is going to be epic. My own personal opinion, is that we may be seeing the origins of the Xenomorphs, quite possibly by humans (Weyland-Yutani?). I know Ridley has said that this is not going to be linked to the Alien universe, but the first film just had so many unanswered questions - and this trailer hints at so many answers. One thing that I am wondering, though, is that I had heard that Lance Henriksen was involved in this project, but I have seen nothing to support this. Anyone know anything about it?

Nope, not heard that. Hope it's not true, the cast is awesome as it is, and the less links there are to the original film the better . . .

Apparently it's the only film in history to have had trailers made for the official trailer.

12A I'm guessing. Seems to be the way things are heading these days? I'm sure I read it's going to be a PG-13 in America

Yep, Ridley is shooting it R rated and cutting it down for general release at the request of the studio due to the budget needed. Apparently the R rated cut will be released theatrically for a very very limited time only but will be available on the DVD and BD.
