Default It's Alive (1974)

Larry Cohens oddity about a child who is a genetic monstrosity that may have been created due to prescription drugs.
The Davies expect a baby, which turns out to be a monster with a nasty habit of killing when it's scared. And it's easily scared.

Default Phase Four (1974)

During the 70s sci fi boom, there was no shortage of films that dealt with ecology and mans destruction of the planet, personally i just like seeing bugs attack people.

Desert ants suddenly form a collective intelligence and begin to wage war on the desert inhabitants. It is up to two scientists and a stray girl they rescue from the ants to destroy them. But the ants have other ideas

I've heard a bit about Phase IV and have been meaning to check it out for a while now.

Great stills, Vic.

Saul Bass does a great job directing this slow burner of a flick, its a strange but compelling film, shame he never did more movies, obviously hes most famous for his title designs on Psycho etc

I can only remember small parts of it myself Vic and to my knowledge it has never had a video/dvd release either. Hopefully someday that will change.

Who could hate Blakes 7?
Such charm, such devotion, such grity reality! (oh god, somebody shut me up!)
And writen by the legend that is Terry Nation.
Wasn't one episode originaly going to be a crossover with Doctor Who?
Damn that would have been good!

I much preferred Blakes 7 when Blake was actually still in it.
