This is one of my most highly anticipated Who releases. Can't wait to watch it again after all these years. Absolute classic.

Its a stone cold Doctor Who classic Vic. If Makethemdieslowly was to make a who story this would be it - quaint English villages, morris dancing, maypoles, witchcraft, demons.

In all honesty its not in my top ten, though i haven't seen it for 15 years probably.

I think they are simply stunning, the paper, the covers, the gold foil, the texture, the smell. mmm!

At £3 each online they are superb.

What's wrong with shimmering tin foil? Actually, when you watch the dvd with the cgi on, the Vardans actually look very good. I think that the guys who did the special effects were fans and wanted to do them (The Vardans) justice. Just my two pence.

These are terrific. Looking at the covers takes me back to seeing them in the bookshops as a kid.

I've already bought one Hartnell and two of the Troughton's and will buy the remaining in due course. Would love to see more of them, particularly the 'missing episodes' adventures.
