Great 70's childrens fantasy, with plenty of famiiar faces, kind of cross between The Tomorrow People and DR Who,loads of nostalgia to enjoy, and even some morris dancers.

All is not as it should be in Milbury, a sleepy English village surrounded by a megalithic stone circle. Astrophysicist Adam Brake (Gareth Thomas, Blakes 7) and his teenage son, Matthew, arrive to research the standing stones, but end up delving into the past in ways they never expected. What are the secrets of the ancient stones. What power does the druid inspired Rafael Hendrick (Iain Cuthbertson, Gorillas in the Mist) have over the villages trancelike happy ones. And is it true that nobody ever leaves the circle.
I love this along with "Raven" and "The Owl Service".

I really need to pick up Children of the Stones.

I must have seen it when it was broadcast as i have never owned it on any format.

I don't think i want to see MTDS's arse in the uncut morris dancing scenes extra features though.

When i was at junior school i was in a morris dancing team for a year, we performed at local events.

It was tremendous fun if i'm honest, and occasionally quite painful to learn, you also had to be pretty fit to keep up.

I love Ace Of Wands. It's such a shame a lot of the episodes are now lost. The theme tune ( by Status Quo keyboard player Andy Bown ) is superb!

Default The Swarm (1978)

The Swarm (1978)
Loads of big name actors make a B-move (see what i did, geddit, geddit,oh why do i bother ).

A huge swarm of deadly African bees spreads terror over American cities by killing thousands of people.
