Christopher Walken also screen tested as Han Solo.

As did Nick Nolte who almost got the role. Kurt Russell & Perry King also auditioned.

It's one of only 2 films (the other being Emmanuelle) that sent me to sleep at the flicks. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/i...ferent0018.gif

Dune is a nightmare of a watch, it's too long and at points makes absolutely no sence whatso ever, i have just gotten shot of my copy because i can never bring myself to watch it again knowing the hard slog it's gonna be...

Krull is AWESOME, recently got this on DVD and forgot how kickass this film was, Red Sonja, is a casual watch for me, i watch it quite often like a lot of Arnie movies....

I remember trying to get into the cinema in 1984 with my little brother to see Dune.Being only 10 years old,the woman at the ticket desk was having none of it.

I have to admit i love 'Dune'. I can completely see why it might send people to sleep though. I love the edgy feel it has (thanks to Lynch of course).

It's epic and bleak with a sense of darkness which i like in sci-fi. i actually think it suffers from heavy editing though and the fact Lynch lost track a bit whilst filming due to the scale of the project. I heard there is alot of unseen footage so have been waiting years for an even longer version to appear.. haha.. ;)

Not everybody's cup of tea though.

She shouldn't have refused him. It was only a PG on the cinema (after cuts).

I could have sworn it was a 15 at my cinema (I know it was on video) :suspicious: Hmmmmmm,I guess she didn't like the look of my face! lol

It was me who was 10 at the time and my brother was 8.That was probably the problem.

It was cut for a PG on the cinema (37 secs). The video was uncut and upgraded to a 15.
