I love LIFEFORCE and not just for a naked Mathilda May .The whole film is great in it's cheesiness and the way it takes itself so seriously. The film is really in need to of a remastered anamorphic dvd.It looks horrible blown up on a widescreen tv

LIFEFORCE is classic. It has it all, nudity, gore, violence.
Pity someone couldn't do it justice on DVD.
What's MGM all about?
Where did they get that shitty artwork from?

Here's what's required.....

The artwork on the dvd is one of the posters. It is rubbish isn't it.Oooooooo a big eye and the earth! You're right Reaps,Should have used that art from the vhs cover.I have the Japanese MGM dvd which has better art than the European/U.S. dvds.

Now,that's better.
Pity it's so bloody expensive importing from the land of the rising sun.

Sure is! I can't remember how much it cost me but it was a lot more than here. It's even worse when you get a bill for import tax weeks after your dvds arrive.

that japanese cover is better but reaps has it for me, this would look awedsome on shameless, but i think some of mr melton's art would look sweet on an arrow release....

I've always liked The Quiet Earth (1985). Interesting little film with some truly beautiful scenes - particularly the ending.

Ugh, yeah. I got the MGM release fairly recently and though the artwork is a bit lacklustre it was the shioddy, non-anamorphic print used that got my goat. Sure it was the complete Euro cut (which was nice) but what a mess it looked! And once it was zoomed up to 16:9....sheesh!

Definitely needs a tarting up and re-release.

Wow, I haven't thought about that flick for many years! I really liked it as I remember.

Hmmmm...the Ancor Bay Disk is eminently affordable...
