It'll probably be due to the fact that the film is only really known as Zombie Flesh Eaters in the UK. Therefore, that opening sequence would have been shot independently of the film for the UK home...

It's just for such a cult classic, this film has had a poor history when it comes to artwork, and it almost seems as if people are clamouring for the hand just because it's 'the best...
