I can't make up my mind whether to just do a list of 'sci-fi' films, or a longer list including films with sci-fi elements that are generally considered sci-fi even though I may not personally agree...

Same here, which is why I prefer to keep my lists around 10-30 long to keep the essentials instead of going off on tangents which is always going to happen in a top 100 list.
