Yes Rewind made a mistake with their cuts to the UK DVD of Tombs of the Blind Dead.

The BBFC's own site will tell you what's been cut from the releases that they classifiy over here athough they don't always tell you if the cut R version was submitted. This info usually comes a little later on the IMDb. Mostly we get the unrated version on DVD anyway.

I think this site has dropped a few clangers in the past.

Not just with regards to a film's cut or uncut status but also where aspect ratio info is concerned.

DVD Compare is a good site but not a great one imo.

Fully agree. It's the best of its kind around at the moment but a million miles from accurate.

Default Censored versions by Shameless

I don't know if a thread like this already exists but I'd like to start a thread were we can collect any censored releases by Shameless. If you want me to (and if the forum allows me to) I can edit your titles/lists into this post so that we always have a complete overview.

BTW: Mentions of special extended versions, Director's Cuts etc. are also welcome here, of course!

I'll start with Nr. 1, obviously.

Nr. 1 - New York Ripper (Lucio Fulci)
missing approximately 19 seconds
cuts made to a scene where the killers slices a woman's breats in half with a razor blade. The action looks fake but is shown in close ups and does get the intentions across.

With that in mind here are those missing seconds for you good people!

Eh I don't need to tell you these bits are graphic so if you're easily offended then... what are you doing on this forum?
This link is now dead. Can it be found anywhere else?

agree with you there
although irs very informative, they do tend to make mistakes now and then
sometimes stating no cuts to some film when its the cut theatrical or whatever

one certain mistake is when they are giving details of the best version of THE BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE on the R0 Blue Undergound blu ray and they say the line "Bring in the perverts" is missing from the English track
WRONG! it is on the English track
and on the BU dvd you hear the whole line 'Right, bring in the perverts'
but 'Right' is missing on the blu ray
