Exclamation New Shameless Site

Ok so come end of October Shameless will have been around releasing DVDs and online here for a year. It's time we over-hauled the main site which is badly in need of improvements. It served us well at the beginning but it's not as flexible as we'd like and then I get lazy updating it and so on...

Anyway we'd like to hear from y'all what you'd like from the new site. A gallery of the sleeves has been suggested on another thread - I think that's a great idea. My bugbear is that the product pages could be a lot more informative. Obviously I can tap out some more stuff on them but you guys have some amazing expertise between you all so would it make sense to allow the pages to be far more collaborative - allowing you to put up links to other pages of interest, leave your reviews on the product page and so on?

You tell us what you want and we'll try to build it in!

Ooh, that sounds great! I luv that idea!

How about a page for competitions which are only opened to anyone with the name Iluvdvds? I think that's a pretty good idea!

Definetly need to promote your titles in a sledgehammer to the head sort of way that with favourable quotes and reviews from under them-the kind of quotes that Redemption employ on their covers.....eg.
'Shameless are a company who understand what the genre fan loves and craves-and classily overdoses them on their preferred drug'-Reaper 72
-You know what I'm saying Almar....
Quotes from the likes of Lovelockandload etc.....

Get a trailer gallary up and running too Almar

Maybe a 'highlight' video for each release too? Where you get a sample of the delights awaiting you? Like the suana scene from Strip Nude... lol

That's a nice idea - a little highlights video. We need to get all our trailers sorted first but then after that we should tackle that idea.

Just spit balling here, howabout having viewable cover art for the front/back and reverse covers for your titles?

I'm a sad fella who like checking out the covers on pre-orders and current titles while browsing for potential buys. Only a few websites do it though :/

Keep spittin'!

We absolutely need a gallery of sleeves and reversibles so people can browse at their leisure - back of pack would be nice too...

Maybe have a little recommendation listing with your titles, like:

"Buy this if you liked, What have you done to Salonge? and Profondo Rosso."

Let people know what resembles the title your selling, granted that could have a backlash as people might associate it with a title they hated and won't give it a chance! Lol

The wallpapers are also awesome, maybe get one for each release for the site? Get a little 'Media' section on the go

How about a page for downloadable stuff - like wallpapers, screensavers, desktop themes, videos, music, screenplays of the films, that sorta stuff. Unless ofcourse these will be special features on the dvds.

And also how about a page for each release - with the trailer, the synopsis, reviews (from us!) info, etc.

And you can't forget having an online shop too!
