Sleaziest Giallo Movies

Hi Sleazoids!

With the new ultra-sleazy release from Shameless Screen Entertainment of The Sister Of Ursula out now on DVD (for the first ever time in the UK!), it's time to bare all and show us some skin!

What are the sleaziest gialli ever to come out of Italy?

The Sister Of Ursula is billed as a proto-porno giallo, (just wait until you see the murder weapon!) so let us know what other equally raunchy giallo movies you have seen. What would you recommend?

Giallo A Venezia (1979, Mario Landi)
This prime piece of sleaze, sadly in limbo release wise is a perfect example of what you requested inmho!!!!!

Renato Polselli's Delirium and Sergio Bergonzelli's In the Folds of the Flesh immediately spring to mind.

Two great little gialli films too.

I'll give a mention to Death Walks on High Heels and Slaughter Hotel.

I haven't seen it yet, but I believe Play Motel fits the profile, and it's about to be released by Raro Video USA.

Me too. But with nothing to compare it to we'll never know for sure. I have to admit i've never had any issues with any of their dvd releases.

Yep, was just gonna suggest those 2! Slaughter Hotel is especially sleazy.

I think, Shameless has a few of the sleaziest in the catalogue

Torso
Strip for your killer

Apart from that I would suggest:

Beeing Twenty

Beeing Twenty is anything but giallo.

well it felt like one for me, because it has many things, that define Gialli for me:

- strange crime case
- People who are involved in the crime without being able to explain why exatly this happened
- Police investigating rather aimlessly without finding reasons.

And the end in my opinion is one of the most inhuman ones in film-history, so brutal and cynical, that I could hardly bear it.

You are definitely the only person who considers this a giallo. It's more a comedy drama but definitely not giallo.

Good film though so it's good you brought it up.

Anyone correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure Di Leo never made a giallo.

Poliziotteschi yes, loads, but never giallo.

This is often classed as a giallo: La bestia uccide a sangue freddo (1971) - IMDb

It's a rubbish film though in my opinion.

Nice one, SJ.

Totally forgot that. Just a quick look at his IMDB page suggests it's the only one.

Unless you also consider To Be Twenty is a gialli.
