So, because this DVD has a commentary with a man who wrote a book on video nasties and probably knows a great deal about Slaughter High, you're not going to buy it?

Apparently his history either gets ignored in the UK or folks there just don't care.

Rest assured Allan is getting no royalties from Slaughter High (nor does anyone who work on the extra features!) and without him you would not have had Caroline Munro's input into this.

He took a day off work to organise her input into this for us. And as we had (frankly) sod all budget we came down to London to record her and film her out of our own pocket with Allan also organising a place to shoot and record. Although sometimes I wonder why...

Believe me, Slaughter High was close to being a bare-bones release. Allan's input (and later the input of Justin) helped to make sure it isn't.

You can always choose not to listen to Allan's track of course. There's an excellent second commentary with Justin Kerswell and the co-director. This time recorded on a weekend with the help of Nick Frame - who very much took his work home with him.

A lot of people, some you may not like, chip into these releases - all for the love of the genre and to see that the fans get something a bit "special."

Certainly, no one will go to this bother for Slaughter High again.

No, I'm not buying it because he's a plagiarist and full of crap.

And regarding the word "wrote", quotes should likely be used.

You need to read up on the Dark Side of Plagiarism articles.

I'm aware of that, but I fail to see what it has to do with this release.

It has nothing to do with this release, just a chance for bgart13 to cause a rumpus again.

If people take a dislike to someone for whatever reason it will influence their judgement, especially when it comes to spending their hard earned money.

Well, you have basically turned this thread from a discussion about the merits of this release, the involvement of Graham Humphreys in making the artwork and a welcome and long awaited release of a popular slasher film from the 1980s into a thread devoted to bashing Allan Bryce.

Either stop posting these persistently negative comments or the moderators will have to take action to stop you. It's as simple as that.
