Aliens (1986). The film has been accused of hi-tech racism and android apartheid due to the way in which humans in the film deal with the presence of other. It has been suggested the character of Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver, treated them with fear and suspicion

WTF this really is clutching at straws unless they are androids I didn't know about, anyone with a brain cell would know why she is suspicious if they had seen the first

Mind it seems this insanity has lead to a huge increase in people cancelling sky

As developing children we do things thoughtlessly and when we get hurt and are in pain we examine why and choose not to make the same mistake twice.

If you erase that thought process you will just end up repeatedly walking face first into a brick wall.

The reason Ripley has a distrust of Androids is because she has experienced first hand the actions of a psychotic one, at the end she is helped by one and becomes more accepting, this shows character development and challenging stereotypes, so the argument doesn't really amount to anything.

Star wars will be next as it's offensive towards droids and Jawas!

Also should it have a warning as we have black man voicing a white person? We all know it would if it was the reverse.

Can't just have it one way

I honestly don't understand why people get so upset about these disclaimers, the films haven't been altered they're just warning people who might not have seen them before.

Over on blurage it turned into such a massive deal that the new Blu-ray and 4K of Bill & Ted has a disclaimer before it talking about outdated attitudes. To be honest, any child watching that film who didn't grow up in the homophobic 80s and 90s might be quite surprised. However, the use of 'fag' is still in the film, they didn't change it. Same with The Dam Busters, it feels weird hearing the dog being called over and over again in this day and age, but it was never dubbed over, they just added a little warning about it before the film starts.

Not everyone has the same understanding and knowledge of the context.
