Also read in one of the articles about it, that it's highly unlikely It Aint Half Hot Mum will ever be repeated on the BBC. Ffs, what the hell is going on here????? What, they can't even show them and put a warning at the beginning saying it may cause offence? People don't have to watch them.

The BBC have been doing this sort of thing for years with Only Fools and Horses

Why should they need to put up a warning? These shows are CLASSICS, and ones which we were bought up on

'It Ain't half Hot Mum' - racist, homophobic
'Faulty Towers' - racist
'On The Buses' - misogynist
Danny La Rue - gay
Frankie Howerd - gay
'Carry On...' - Sexist
'Love Thy Neighbour' - racist
'The Black and White Minstrel Show' - racist

Admittedly, most people here have got me pegged as the person who is going to be fighting for equality, but come on - these shows/people are from an age of innocence

To quote 'Doctor Who': "You cannot rewrite history. Not one line"!

Well, would you rather have a warning, or them cut or never shown again? I know which I'd prefer.

Personally, I'd rather they showed it as is, without making a fuss!

Might be wrong though, but I bet the people they're afraid of offending with these shows, couldn't care less about them. The BBC are just bringing attention to them and making themselves look like fools in the process.
Justin101 and Susan Foreman like this.
