Pokemon - Gotta Catch 'Em All

I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was,
To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause...

If those lyrics have made you turn your cap backwards and start singing, you've come to the right place!

Pokemon - Pokemon Theme (Full Version) - YouTube

How many Cult Labs are/were fans of Pokemon? Did you catch 'em all?

Who was your favorite pokemon?

I recently re-watched the Pokemon movie on VHS yesterday and really enjoyed seeing all my old favs back together :p

Also found a Guess Who-esque Pokemon board game which proved harder to play that it seems!

So, who a fan (of the original 150!)?

RedEyeTheCylon 28th March 2013 11:23 PM

HELL YES!!!!! :rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon:

I was a Pokeaddict, I think practically every 90's kid was. :lol: Still have vivid memories of going to see the first movie at the cinema and spending a fortune on the card booster packs in an attempt to find the elusive Charizard shiny. My favourites were Nidoking, Scyther and Pinsir:

I know it was a few years later but did you ever use to watch Yu-Gi-Oh Kyle?

Wooo! Great choice of Pokemon, RedEye! I forgot about Pinsir.

If I had to pick (beside Pikachu) my fav three would be;

I was also fascinated by Jynx for some weird reason

My brother had loooads of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, RedEye. I used to make up the rules as I went along - funny how I always won :P

What about Digimon? A bit pants compared to the others.

I remember creating a set of my own cards too. They were called Mons, rather originally!

Slippery Jack 28th March 2013 11:35 PM

Gaaaaah :mmph:

Basically, it just boils down to me being annoyed that you are younger than me :mmph:

I'm going off to start a thread on Knightmare :p . . .

I was never really a fan of Digimon, the theme tune was catchy though :happy:

I remember having the Digimon game for the PS1, the best thing about it was that there was a Digimon who used to eat its own shit :lol:

Another one from around the same time was Beyblades:

So, who here has downloaded and is playing the new Pokemon Go game?

It's crazy how much attention this game has gotten since it's launch - it's been madness!

Who's playing it? What pokemon do you have?

gag 16th July 2016 05:23 PM

Ive never gave a chuff about pokemon, and already the pokemon go doing my head. Everyone asking why im not playing it, im not playing it because im 47 and im not wandering the street with phone in my hand in attempt to see technicaly nothing, :hide:and walking around like a zombie being oblivious to what around me, sorry but if thats youre thing fair play no offence, just aint mine, at least its got the kids out and about playing in the street like we use to when we were kids, instead of sat in the house all day.
Ps i only asked about the pokemon cards not long ago because someone give me over 200 and just wanted to see if by chance there was odd 1or 2 worth maybe a tenner or so.

Actually, I did download it yesterday to see what all the fuss was about. Lasted about 2 minutes before I deleted it again.

That article should be taken with a grain of salt :lol: It sounds like an American 'Daily Mail Online' news item.

The video clip in question was recorded on the 2nd day the game came out and a rare fan-favourite Pokemon emerged, obviously people are going to get excited. Some guys have been playing Pokemon for 20 years it's part of their life - you really shouldn't judge others for having a bit of fun.
