Some new names have been added to the 2022 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony

Joining The Undertaker (to be inducted by Vinnie Mac), Vader (to be inducted by Mick Foley) and Sharmell (to be inducted by her husband Booker T) are...

The Steiner Brothers: Scott Steiner is a one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW Television Champion, and two-time WCW United States Champion and his brother Rick Steiner is a three-time WCW Television Champion, one-time WCW United States Champion, one-time WCW World Tag Team Champion (without Scott), and one-time WCW United States Tag Team Champion (without Scott). As a tag team they are Tto-time WWF Tag Team Champions, two-time IWGP Tag Team Champions, seven-time WCW World Tag Team Champions, and one-time WCW United States Tag Team Champions

Also, Shad Gaspard is due to receive the Warrior Award. He will be a Posthumous recipient and is a former WWE wrestler in the Cryme Tyme tag team who heroically sacrificed himself to save his son from drowning in 2020

It's a surprise to see The Steiners being inducted. Scott in particular has been very outspoken about the wrestling industry, the WWE and lot of the people who work there. in 2015 he was banned from attending the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony after being accused of 'accosting' Hulk Hogan's wife at a San Jose airport. She alleged that Steiner threatened to kill Hogan, and the couple subsequently reported the incident to police. Steiner subsequently denied making the death threat

Also, there don't seem to be any mentions of Sid being inducted now, so I am unsure about whether he has been dropped or not

Scott's return to the WWE was short when he was bulked up, he couldn't move about and do stuff he use to, his match with Triple H that every move Scott done, Triple H appeared to sandbag his moves.

The Undertaker at the 2022 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony

"Vince said tonight is his favorite night of the year, because tonight they honor the superstars who have contributed to the success of WWE over the years.

Vince said no Hall Of Fame inductee in the past deserves the induction more than The Undertaker.

Vince said Taker has been to hell and back with all the injuries and the toll his body took in this business.

Vince then said the names of almost ALL of Undertaker’s major opponents of his 30-year WWE career!

McMahon recalled Undertaker and Triple H wrestling on the escalator of a mall on WWF Saturday Night Shotgun!

Vince talked about Undertaker’s Hall Of Fame qualities – integrity, loyalty, respect, leadership by example, toughness, athleticism, intelligence, discipline & many more.

The greatest quality of Taker is love, because you can’t accomplishment what he has without the love he has for the wrestling business.

Vince then introduced The Undertaker and he came out to his Deadman entrance theme.

He hugged Vince and said he loves him and Taker is already emotional. Taker got a HUGE ovation from the fans and “you deserve it”, “Rest In Peace” and “Thank You Taker” chants!

After an emotional scene for 10 minutes straight, Taker finally speaks. Taker said he could’ve easily died without showing a glimpse of Mark Calaway, but he’s going to show the same respect to the fans that fans have showed him for 30 years and he’s going to tell about the person below the black hat.

His first thank you is to the fans.

Taker said in 1986, he didn’t know what to do. He asked his brother what to do. He had some promising opportunities in Basketball, but his heart was in Wrestling.

Taker was afraid of what his basketball teammates and mom & dad would think. Then his brother told him it’s all about what he wants in his life. It all became clear and he became a Professional Wrestler.

His dream led him to become The Undertaker.

He has everyone knows about his signature moves, today he’s going to tell his mental signature moves.

Taker said Vince told him perception is reality after a match where he roughed up a jobber for messing up moves, and everyone thinks he’s an a$$hole after that match.

Taker said he’s not proud of his actions from that night and this became his 1st mental move – he constantly reminded himself that his actions matter.

Taker said he has often thought of Stephanie McMahon as a little sister that he never wanted, but is joking and loves the McMahon family.

Taker said The Godfather was a big influence on him, but not a positive influence. They fought over a lot of things, but he knew Godfather always had his back.

Taker then addressed the B.S.K. and assured them he’s going to take their stories to the grave.

He then recalled his memories with B.S.K. co-founder Yokozuna and Brian “Crush” Adams. He said a day never goes by where he doesn’t think about Brian.

Brian once called Taker to come to him so they could learn how to break bricks with their bare hands, but he didn’t know it was going to be their last meeting, as Brian passed away after some time.

Taker said he didn’t realize at the time why he said yes to breaking bricks, but now it makes sense.

Taker then paid tribute to Paul Bearer and Kane. He said the greatest wrestling story ever told is Undertaker vs. Kane. Taker then joked Glenn Jacobs wants him to call him Mr. Mayor now, but told him to not get hot. He said he didn’t get hot when Kane stole all his moves (laughed). But said Kane performed them better than him.

Taker said his 2nd mental signature move was taught by his father – always show respect to everyone, no matter how high your status is.

A fan shouted “I love you” and Taker replied “I love you, too”.

His 3rd mental signature move is loyalty goes a long way. Taker thanked Dusty, Harley, Bruno, Andre, Bret Hart and Ric Flair for paving the way for his generation and generations to come.

He said without his meeting with Bruce Prichard, there would be no Undertaker.

He thanked Terry Anderson, the woman who designed all his iconic costumes. He thanked the director of The Last Ride. He thanked all his Doctors who have fixed him up.

For his final mental signature move, he recalls getting 15 minutes and 3rd card spot at WrestleMania 25. Due to the disrespect shown, Taker and Shawn Michaels tore the house down to make a statement.

Taker thanked HBK for his friendship and giving him one of the best matches of his career.

So his 3rd mental move is – never be contempt. Always dream big no matter what you’ve already achieved and strive to be better. This principle came into effect at WrestleMania 27 & 28 with Triple H.

Taker thanked HHH for reminding him for who he is when his confidence was at an all time low. His words got him through the rest of his career. Their WrestleMania 28 moment with HBK was one of the proudest moments of his career, and it was truly the End of an Era.

Taker said he’s proud of his son Gunner. He said his daughter Kaia is perfect the way she is and Kaia shed a tear. Taker then put over his youngest son too.

Taker recalled Sid Vicious mocking his mother during a match and his mother almost got in the ring to save him. He said that’s how his mom got banned from wrestling.

Taker said he misses his father. Taker said his Mom used to ask him when he’ll that that ring. Taker then said:

“Mom, we did it.”

Taker said Michelle McCool is the one on who his family is built on. He said when Michelle came to WWE, she didn’t want to meet him and Kane.

Taker joked that Michelle chased him for so long that he finally agreed to marry her.

Taker said she restored his relationship with Jesus Christ. Taker said Michelle is a great mother and can still hang with the best female wrestlers in WWE today.

He said he loves her with all his heart and she is his soulmate.

Taker then addressed Vince McMahon. He said Vince wasn’t sold on him completely in the beginning, but he gave him a chance that changed his life.

Taker thanked Vince for being an important father figure, especially after his father passed away.

Taker said Vince got him to do a lot of scary matches, but he’s proud to say he never did the Taker-Roonie.

He thanked Vince for the Gift of The Undertaker and his friendship.

He said there’s no one like the WWE Universe and advised them to make his 3 mental signature moves a part of their life too. He thanked them for taking this 3 decades journey with him.

Taker ended by saying that now he’s in the WWE Hall Of Fame, The Undertaker will finally rest in peace.

While leaving, Taker wore his ring coat and hat and fans chanted “one more match”.

Taker then said “Never Say Never” and walked away."

WrestleMania 38, the 'Most Stupendous Two-Night Event In WrestleMania History', has just been held and from all accounts it was a complete success. Although it looked lackluster on paper, it is being cited as possibly the greatest WresteMania event of all time

Day 1 results [Attendance: 77,899]
SPOILER:
  • In the opening SmackDown Tag Team Championship match, Jimmy and Jay Uso defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs via pinfall to retain the titles. However, Boggs suffered a legitimate injury when he tore his quad-patellar tendon in his leg which resulted in a rushed ending to the match. Apparently he is due to undergo surgery in the coming days to repair the injury
  • Drew McIntyre defeated Happy Corbin (with Madcap Moss) via pinfall in a standard singles match. After the bout, McIntyre swung his sword at Moss and managed to cut through the two top ropes of the ring!
  • In a tag-team match, The Miz and Logan Paul defeated Rey and Dominick Mysterios via pinfall
  • In the WWE RAW Womens Championship match, Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch via pinfall to gain the title
  • The returning Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins via pinfall in a standard singles match. Unexpectedly, Rhodes, who hasn't wrestled for the WWE since May 2016 received probably the second loudest pop of the event on his entrance
  • In the WWE SmackDown Womens Chalpionship, Charlotte Flair defeated Ronda Rousey via pinfall to retain the title
  • In the most anticipated match of the last 20 years, and WrestleMania 38's worst kept secret, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin defeated Kevin Owens in a 'No Holds Barred' match. It wasn't the best fight either man has ever had, but as a 'special moment' it was incredible. We just need to wait and see what the future holds for Stone Cold now!

Day 2 Results [Attendance: 78,453]
SPOILER:
  • The show started with Triple H making an elaborate entrance to leave his boots in the ring, finishing off the recent news that he is officially retired from in-ring action after his recent health problems
  • In the opening Triple threat tag team match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship, RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) defeated The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) by pinfall to retain the titles
  • Bobby Lashley defeated Omos by pinfall in a standard singles match
  • Johnny Knoxville defeated Sami Zayn via pinfall in an 'anything goes' match
  • In a Fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, Sasha Banks and Naomi defeated Queen Zelina and Carmella, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, and Natalya and Shayna Baszler by pinfall to gain the titles
  • Edge defeated AJ Styles via pinfall in a standard singles match
  • Sheamus and Ridge Holland def. The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) via pinfall in a standard tag team match
  • Pat McAfee defeated Austin Theory via pinfall in a standard singles match
  • Vince McMahon defeated Pat McAfee via pinfall in a standard singles match. After the match, 'Stone Cold' returned to the ring and gave Vinnie Mac a stunner to the delight of the audience!
  • In the final Winner Takes All match to unify the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship, Universal Champions Roman Reigns (with Paul Heyman) defeated WWE Champion Brock Lesnar by pinfall

...And a million internet memes were created!

The next scheduled PPV is 'WrestlaMania Backlash', which is due to be held on May 8th

At the same time that the second night of WrestleMania was being held, the NXT had their 'Stand And Deliver' PPV
SPOILER:
  • In a Tag team match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, Raquel González and Dakota Kai defeated Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne) by pinfall to gain the titles
  • In a Fatal five-way ladder match for the NXT North American Championship, Cameron Grimes defeated Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams), Santos Escobar (with Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza and Elektra Lopez), Solo Sikoa, and Grayson Waller (with Sanga) to become the champion
  • In a standard singles match, Tony D'Angelo (with AJ Galante) defeated Tommaso Ciampa by pinfall
  • In a Triple Threat Tag Team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship, MSK (Nash Carter and Wes Lee) defeated Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel) and The Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed and Julius Creed) (with Malcolm Bivens and Ivy Nile) by pinfall to gain the titles
  • In a Fatal four-way match for the NXT Women's Championship, Mandy Rose defeated Cora Jade, Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai by pinfall to retain the championship
  • In a standard singles match, Gunther defeated LA Knight by pinfall
  • In a Singles match for the NXT Championship, Dolph Ziggler (with Robert Roode) defeated Bron Breakker by pinfall to retain the championship

Have too say it was the best wrestle mania in years , the Cody Rhodes match was for me the best match a lot better than I would of thought , followed by stone cold /Kevin Owen.
