Been back on the anime recently too. After putting it off for so long I finally watched Gundam Build Fighters and loved it! The plot sounds awful on paper but its really a great Gundam show.

Its all free on youtube from Sunrise official channel, gundaminfo which is great since they never seem to release Gundam on disc outside of Japan anymore. They also have SEED/SEED Destiny HD remastered which ive been re-watching this week and are uploading the 2nd series of Build Fighters weekly as it airs in Japan.

Win win!

Sweet! Not watched the latest Gundam since zero. I still think SEED was the high water mark in terms of quality, I also have a fondness for stardust memories, war in the pocket and Wing.

Watched Eden of the East all in one sitting, all I can say is fantastic one the best anime have seen in a long time, funny with likable characters and a intresting story that had me gripped from begining to end, which was strange because it had a lack of action but the episodes flew by because of the great characters and gripping story. 10/10

Now watching kids on the slope

Not that i'm aware of. That's why anime fans need to support retro releases. The medium has been around long enough it's time that labels started giving the older classics more love less we risk losing them!

Patlabor and Wings of the Honnamise were good starts.

Not seen Birdy decode, Another is excellent.

Recent Sundays viewings included.

More Naruto and Hunter X Hunter (that show seems done for now.)

Captain earth.

A young boy heads to a remote island after strange lights stir up child hood memories. It turns out his dad was ace mecha pilot Captain earth who died protecting the planet. Now he must take over his fathers mantle to defend earth against a space parasite intent on devouring all life.
This one is another traditional trope in anime, the summer where the character moves from child hood to adulthood.
It feels stretched a little thin over it's 24 episode arc but its entertaining enough.

Brynhildr in the darkness.

A guilt ridden teenager who feels responsible for his friends death is shocked when her apparent double is transferred in. This girl has no memory of him but more than that she appears to have strange powers that she uses to save people. He soon encounters more girls with similar abilities and a government conspiracy involving experimentation on 'witches' and ancient alien artefacts. Its a sci-fi conspiracy series fused with traditional 'harem' anime. Some occasionally brutal violence all mixed in to a 13 episode series. Certainly well told its worth seeking out.

Default Sunday night is anime night!

Terraformars

Only watched the first few episodes of this but enjoyed it so far. Basically it's about a diesese that is killing the people of Earth, a group of people are sent to Mars to find a cure. surgery is performed on them that has a low survival rate and lets them to use a special medicine which increases strength etc, they need this as a experiment to terraform Mars had a unfortunate side effect of producing a race of humanoid cockroches that have a hatred for mankind. It's very gory and has been havely censored so it's worth seeking out the un censored version here's a censored screen shots, which should be no need for in this day and age

Sword art online is pretty good. Not the classic some have made it out to be but it has some nice ideas in it. It was popular enough to get a second 26 episode series as well.

Currently in the middle of fantasy warfare series Madan no ou to Vandis. (lord marksman and vandis) its ok, glad its 13 episodes though...
