Those pesky Crites are returining......to tv! Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Critters: A New Binge is being developed. Personally I think this is great news. If they can bring back Don Opper as Charlie, even better!

It would be great if he returned. The original producers are involved, which includes Opper’s brother, so fingers crossed!

It is a five-part series, but one spanning numerous different genres and arthouse films and blockbusters are.

I know it is, I was making a joke about the fact he manages to bring the Exorcist into pretty much everything he does, much like Alan Jones has to name drop Argento all the time.

I’m sure it’ll be worth a watch with those two on board (despite the arthouse bollocks)

With the limited scope of films in multiplexes, arthouse could apply to such films as The Shape of Water, Lady Bird, The Big Sick and Get Out, none of which have been screened in the Cineworld or Vue the. One of the best films I saw last year was Loving Vincent, definitely an arthouse film.

I'm sure he'll mention The Exorcist when it comes to horror, Blade Runner in sci-fi, Pan's Labyrinth in fantasy and The Shawshank Redemption to illustrate the power of word-of-mouth and the home cinema market.
