The quality of the spaghetti westerns on Movies4Men has been excellent. All beautiful widescreen pictures.

Talking Pictures tv has just come on to Freeview and everything i've seen has been very good. Old as in 30's, 40's and 50's but very good. They show stuff released by Network and Renown.

The Persuaders on Movies4Men every day at 3pm is gorgeous. Just a shame it's been modified from it's original aspect ratio to fit widescreen tv's.

I might be confusing them with the Sony movie channel, which definitely has poor prints like the Horror Channel.

A lovely BFI print of The Innocents has just finished on Talking Pictures.

House on Haunted Hill is on tomorrow night with Hands of the Ripper on Sunday.

What prints did they use then? Were these modified by the Movies4Men channel themselves?

Have you got the Network complete series? If you have then it's in it's original aspect ratio of 1.33:1

See if your telly or freeview box has a setting 'Auto' under screen size, it may reset to 4:3 for older shows, works on mine for Columbo & UFO amongst others instead of stretching the picture.
