Swamp thing series trailer . DCU Releases Horror-Fueled ‘Swamp Thing’ Trailer Swamp Thing There’s a new, full-length trailer for DC’s upcoming Swamp Thing series, and honestly, this show is really growing on us. Produced by James Wan (with DC Universe), the series seems to be really leaning in to the horror elements, as we can see in this most recent trailer. We’ve got some truly gnarly body horror along with jump scares, anxious tension, and violence aplenty. From the looks of things, they’re not pulling any punches for this show. Alan Moore’s iconic run of the Swamp Thing comic series was rooted firmly in the horror genre, so there’s no surprise that this new TV series would take the opportunity to shift the DC label in a dark direction. Production on Swamp Thing had been shut down early due to creative differences with DCU’s parent company, Warner Media, which reduced the original series order from 13 episodes down to 10. Hopefully they were able to adapt the story to fit the altered episode structure, but we’ll just have to watch to find out. Swamp Thing premieres May 31, 2019 on the DCU streaming app and will star Jennifer Beals (The Bride), Virginia Madsen (Candyman), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th), and Crystal Reed (MTV’s Teen Wolf). Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog) — who starred in Wes Craven’s 1982 film version of Swamp Thing — is also set to appear in the series. https://www.ihorror.com/dcu-releases-horror-fueled-swamp-thing-trailer/ Last edited by gag; 31st May 2019 at 08:37 PM. |
