Swamp thing series trailer .

DCU Releases Horror-Fueled ‘Swamp Thing’ Trailer

Swamp Thing
There’s a new, full-length trailer for DC’s upcoming Swamp Thing series, and honestly, this show is really growing on us.

Produced by James Wan (with DC Universe), the series seems to be really leaning in to the horror elements, as we can see in this most recent trailer. We’ve got some truly gnarly body horror along with jump scares, anxious tension, and violence aplenty. From the looks of things, they’re not pulling any punches for this show.

Alan Moore’s iconic run of the Swamp Thing comic series was rooted firmly in the horror genre, so there’s no surprise that this new TV series would take the opportunity to shift the DC label in a dark direction.

Production on Swamp Thing had been shut down early due to creative differences with DCU’s parent company, Warner Media, which reduced the original series order from 13 episodes down to 10. Hopefully they were able to adapt the story to fit the altered episode structure, but we’ll just have to watch to find out.

Swamp Thing premieres May 31, 2019 on the DCU streaming app and will star Jennifer Beals (The Bride), Virginia Madsen (Candyman), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th), and Crystal Reed (MTV’s Teen Wolf). Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog) — who starred in Wes Craven’s 1982 film version of Swamp Thing — is also set to appear in the series.

It’s been cancelled already after just one episode (which was brilliant BTW)

This sounds OK Dark web TV series .

https://www.horrorsociety.com/2019/0...prime-july-19/

There also a trailer in the link as well.

Star-Studded DARK/WEB Series Debuts On Amazon Prime July 19

Dark/Web, an 8-episode sci-fi/horror anthology series will stream exclusively on Amazon July 19. The series debuted last February at Entertainment Weekly’s and SCAD’s prestigious television festival, aTV Fest, and will screen to a packed house at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego on the eve of its streaming bow.

Dark/Web features tales that delve deep into the strange and dangerous “dark web” that lurks just beneath the surface of the internet we use every day.

Highlighting the voices and contributions of a wide variety of filmmakers, writers, and genre actors, and utilizes a unique story-within-a-story-format, each episode tells a standalone tale that’s connected by a serialized, season-long narrative surrounding the origin of the mysterious stories. Each tale tackles a different danger of the tech age, inspired by real life dark web occurrences and the modern-day dangers of a world that’s always connected.

Synopsis: A genius programmer’s mysterious disappearance leads to the reunion of old friends and the discovery that the strange stories she left behind may point to an impending technological crisis.

The star-studded series has a unique history; marking one of the first times an entire season of television has ever been produced independently. The show comes from the creative team behind 2015’s Netflix film Circle, which has gone on to become a cult hit inspiring online video games and live theatrical performances and adaptations across the world.

The massive cast includes Sibongile Mlambo (Lost in Space), Julie Benz (Dexter), Clare Kramer (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Nicholas Brendan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Gabriel Luna (Terminator Dark Fate), Michael Nardelli (The People vs. OJ Simpson).

Hannah Marks (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agancy), Zelda Williams (Teen Wolf), Robert Davi (Die Hard), Siobhan Fallon Hogan (Funny Games), Hayley Marie Norman (Top Five), Dora Madison (Friday Night Lights), Molly Hagan (Big Little Lies, The Handmaid’s Tale), Cassie Thomson (The Alienist), Amin El Gamal (Prison Break), Lana McKissack (Transformers), Brian Elerding (Mad Men), and Noemi Gonzalez (Rosewood) also star.

Episode credits:

“EAT. PREY. LOVE” (Director/writer Roxy Shih (The Tribe)

“RIDESHARE” (Director/writer Boman Modine)

“HACKED” (Director Eric Salberg, writer Christopher Webster)

“ZERO” (Director/writer Zelda Williams (TV’s Dead of Summer) “BLACKHEART” (director/writer Mario Miscione (Circle)

“VIRAL” (director/writer Michael Nardelli (Circle))
