You only have to look at the Humphreys painted cover of her memoir to know that Williams will not be 'expressing herself' in the same way. She's no Maggie Gyllenhall.

I enjoyed both those two and hopefully will see them next on a BFI MR James set along with The Tractate Middoth. Pity they aren't repeating that. T'was excellent.
I picked up the BFI Ghost Stories set about 6 years ago now. I'm really surprised it hasn't been updated by now to include the newer additions.

This is absolutely fracking awesome!
I urge everyone to tune in to Zorro's Black Whip, which is my favourite cliffhanger, and the start of the awesome Lone Ranger series.

February on The Horror Channel features premieres containing zombie action, bloodsucking comedy and Jet-Li heroics

3rd: 'I Spit On Your Grave' - A film that came to define the video nasty outrage of the early 80s. Its brutal and shocking scenes of brutality still mean its unavailable uncut here in the UK. This remake from 2010 is just as challenging. When writer Jennifer Hills (Sarah Butler) retreats to a charming cabin in the woods to start her next book, her presence in the small town attracts unwanted redneck attention. Intending to teach the city girl a lesson, they break into her cabin to scare her. However, what starts out as terrifying acts of humiliation uncontrollably escalates into a night of abusive assault. But against all odds Jennifer survives her ordeal and intends to turn the tables on her tormentors...

6th: 'Eat Locals' - Channel premiere. In a quiet countryside farmhouse, Britain's vampires gather together for their once-every-fifty-years meeting. Others will be joining them too, including a detachment of Special Forces vampire killers, led by Larousse (Mackenzie Crook), who have bitten off more than they can chew. This is certainly going to be a night to remember and for some of them it will be their last.

13th: 'The One' - A rogue Multiverse agent (Jet Li) goes on a manhunt for alternate versions of himself, getting stronger with each kill. Only the last version of himself, an LASD cop, can stop his crusade before he becomes "The One"

14th: John Carpenter's 'Village Of The Damned' - A strange mist overcomes an idyllic coastal town, causing ten local women to become mysteriously pregnant. Soon, these women give birth to albino children who turn out to be mind-controlling demons. The town doctor (Christopher Reeve) is the only one capable of destroying this other worldly force.

18th: 'Splice' - Clive (Adrian Brody) and Elsa (Sarah Polley) are brilliant and ambitious scientists. The new animal species they have engineered have made them rebel superstars of the scientific world. In secret, they introduce human DNA into the experiment. The result is something that is greater than the sum of its parts: a female animal-human hybrid that may be a step up on the evolutionary ladder - and a step too far.

20th: 'REDCON-1': UK TV premiere. After a zombie apocalypse spreads from a London prison, the UK is brought to its knees. The spread of the virus is temporarily contained but, without a cure, it's only a matter of time before it breaks its boundaries, and the biggest problem of all... any zombies with combat skills are now enhanced. A squad of Special Forces soldiers is sent on a suicide mission to save humanity against ever-rising odds.

21: 'Maggie' - As the world narrowly recovers from a near apocalyptic virus, an infected teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) with only a precious few weeks to live must find the strength and bravery to face her fleeting mortality as her father (Schwarzenegger) struggles helplessly to protect her from the frightened town, and keep the family together

26th: 'A Lonely Place To Die' - Five mountaineers are climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they stumble across an air pipe sticking out of the forest ground emitting panicked cries from a small girl who speaks Serbian. Who buried her in the earth chamber? Why? The horrifying answers to all those questions will take the quintet to the death-defying Devil's Drop. And in the deadliest game of cat-and-mouse, predator becomes prey and vice versa in this top-flight terroriser laced with pulse-pounding thrills

"Clarice is set in 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs. The series is a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling, as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.

Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice graduated Magna from UVA with a double major in Psych and Criminology. Her bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. Her complex psychological makeup comes from a challenging childhood, and her drive comes from her need to escape the burden of family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life."

The series will debut on CBS & CBS All Access on February 11th 2021

If Clarice is close to being as good as Hannibal, it'll be must-watch TV.

‘Constantine’ is Coming to HBO Max with J.J. Abrams

Constantine

The Exorcist, Demonologist, and occasional Master of the Dark Arts is finally coming back! After both Keanu Reeves and Matt Ryan took the role of Constantine, it looks like we are heading into an all new direction with with J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot behind the production for HBO MAX.

Guy Bolton is writing the pilot for the streaming service and plans to open up a writers room in March according to Deadline.

The character is reported to be “diverse” and a departure from Matt Ryan’s NBC run. This all comes in addition to an earlier report that Bad Robot also has an HBO Max deal for their own Justice League Dark that will undoubtedly include the Constantine that is currently being developed by Bolton.

‘Constantine’ is Coming to HBO Max with J.J. Abrams

Yep, another score for DC over at HBO Max! I’m not mad at it. Constantine has always been one of my all time faves. I followed him over the Hellblazer arcs and am in love with him and his world. Of course his role in Justice League Dark is also intriguing as hell. I’ve enjoyed both Reeves and Ryan’s portrayals as the master of the dark arts. However, Ryan’s portrayal was more authentic to the Constantine in the comics as he was a blonde bloke with an English accent.

Who ever ends up getting the role I’m excited to see a series taken up by HBO Max and for Abram’s Bad Robot to be backing the whole thing
