Director Peter Jackson to create World War One film - BBC News

"Director Peter Jackson is creating a new 3D film, using archive footage captured during World War One.

The images are being digitally restored and will be hand-colourised and accompanied by original audio.

The Oscar-winner has restored the 100-year-old footage - some of which has never been seen before - from the Imperial War Museum's archive.

It will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival before being broadcast on BBC One on 11 November, Armistice Day."

February on The Horror Channel has been designated...werewolf month!

February 3rd at 10.55pm - The Howling. A female reporter is attacked by a notorious serial killer and to get over her trauma she is sent to 'The Colony', a remote mountain resort. But there her problems really begin, as the residents are werewolves.

February 10th at 10.55pm - Late Phases. Crescent Bay is not the best place to live out one's golden years. Once an idyllic retirement community, the gated hamlet has been beset by mysterious deadly attacks. So when blind war veteran Ambrose McKinley (Nick Damici) moves in, the residents are put off by his abrasive personality. But it's his grizzled take-no-prisoners attitude that's needed to survive the sinister secret that the tight-knit neighbourhood is harbouring

February 17th at 10.55pm - WolfCop. Lou Garou (get it?) is a lazy, alcoholic cop by day, and a violent, crime-fighting werewolf by night with a new found sense of duty to uphold. Overnight, the small rural town of Woodhaven has a new lycanthropic hero and he's determined to become a better policeman... one full moon transformation at a time. This is a classic and well worth getting your friends around to enjoy together.

February 24th at 10.55pm - Howl. Young ambitious ticket collector Joe (Ed Speleers) is overseeing the last train out of London on a dark and stormy night. Suddenly the train screeches to a halt in a forest after hitting something on the tracks, but the investigating driver never returns. Realising an unknown and dangerous threat is lurking in the woods, the disparate group of strangers aboard must work together in order to survive a common feral enemy.

Late Phases is definitely worth a look for those who haven't partaken as yet.

As is Howl.

It's just those sodding adverts every 20 minutes. Ruins Freeview channels be it Talking Pictures tv, Movies4Men or The Horror Channel.

Horror isn't bad with adverts if I'm, they're there, but fewer breaks

It’s the shitty picture quality that annoys me, films always look bad on the Freeview channels that Dem mentioned

Are you all robots?
Ad breaks are just that ... a break. Toilet/kettle/strip the willow whatever
Then back to the film. Or not

Then you buy it on dvd from poundland. Or not. No more ads
But the film remains . Or not .
Rik and platostotal like this.
