Default The Equalizer tv DVD box set UK or US

Understand UK version has original music and US version doesn't...though also heard reports that the UK version is compressed, affecting the pitch of people's voices! Anyone truly know what's what between these two versions? Thanks.

Might be the 'old' NTSC vs Pal speed difference, only ever noticed it on video games myself not on films tho.
