I really disliked this episode, when it ended our living room was in total silence, that's never happened before

As always this season, I watched it once at silly o’clock on my iPad and then again on my TV, and even though I did like the episode from a spectacle point of view, the writing is really bad, it’s like they’re rushing to end it so they can **** up some Star Wars films! I’m pretty sure they could’ve done four seasons of 10 episodes each and ended it in an amazing way, instead of the 13 episodes they’ve used to really mess up the show! Definitely not watching the next season

There are loads of memes doing the rounds but most of them are spoilers so I'll just leave these two here...

Alternatively, not everything goes as you want or expect it to. War and chaos have unexpected results, with people behaving in ways which were not clearly signposted or typical for past behaviour.

As Lord Acton wrote, absolute power corrupts absolutely. This can happen gradually, or it can happen suddenly.

I thought the episode drew on a number of historical sources and film references to create something incredibly powerful, occasionally numbing and sometimes very emotional.

I agree with that, and for the first moments of that scene I was in complete understanding of the situation, however it was far too prolonged and turned into endless scenes of the same thing happening over and over.

It's also not just that arc that I'm not happy with.

Just having a moan, because for 7 years I've loved this show, for the past 4 weeks I've been steadily losing my faith, last week giving it the benefit of doubt but this week, just no.

Not even sure how they're going to end things, I mean I have a pretty good idea but, meh.

I don't think we need to be so abstract when talking about things that happened in episodes. It was established fairly early on in this thread that we could go into detail after the episode has officially aired in the UK (10pm), so feel free to go into specifics about what you did and didn't like, and how you think events will be resolved.

John Snow has annoyed me this season i understand that he is conflicted but it just seems so far this season he is just along for the ride.

So people aren't happy with this final series.

I'm betting that Tony from the House of Stark builds a time machine so he can bring his fellow Avengers back to life claim the Iron throne for himself - An Iron Man on the Iron Throne.

There goes my theory that he’s finished book 6 and is waiting until the show has finished to publish!
