Another Supernatural fan here, but I disagree with those who are bored by the Apocalypse storyline, one episode to go and it looks evil - not saying anything I just love Cas, he is just great, just take his mailbox message on his cell phone, I cracked up and had to pause play for a minute

Never seen this show and know nothing about it

Recently got the complete 3rd series DVD set

Am I missing anything by not knowing what happened in the first 2 series, or can I just 'jump in' and know what is going on?

It's one you really should see from the start. There's a lot of back story to it as well as the usual monster of the week plots. I really rate the show by the way.
