Excellent Brit programme with the legendary Edward Woodward.
I was gonna pick up THE MONOCHROME YEARS in HMV last week, but they were asking forty quid.
Thankfully it's on Amazon for £18....but before I do,does anyone know if they've been decently transferred?

Some of Network's recent discs have been a bit shoddy.....:ohwell:

According to some people (including a fan in Plymouth) the quality is pretty much up and down. Apparently the source material ain't the best but it's all we're likely to get. :ohwell:

I quite enjoyed the Callan film. Better than most TV-to-cinema adaptations.

Yeah, the black and white stuff is meant to be pretty average quality really. I see they are relasing the colour series aswell later this year. Finally.

I'm still waiting on Universal Playback to get off their backside and release the remaining three series of The Equalizer.

Having never seen this before I was really impressed with how gripping it was. It is true that the first few episodes of the remaining first series are very muddy looking, but, quite frankly, you soon learn to live with it, the stories are so beautifully written and acted. The second series looks in much better shape though and there are some amazing episodes. The final one is extraordinary!

I bought the Australian R0 boxsets of series 3 & 4 (Which also included the film) & was very impressed seeing them for the first time ever.It would be nice to see the BBC series TARGET which also starred Patrick Mower on dvd as I've never seen a single episode.
