I picked up a Walking Dead graphic compendium today in Waterstones as i had £50 in vouchers.

However i decided i wasn't going to spend £45 of it on a comic.

I've considered getting the compendium loads of times but they're funny money. In my opinion anyway. That said Waterstones is never the cheapest place for buying books.

You're right there.

It was because i had vouchers. Wouldn't have entertained them otherwise. Amazon have them for around £25 if i recall.

To be honest. I'm not over keen on the artwork in the strip.

I can't recommend them enough, it's the only comic book I religiously read each month, and have done for years

What issue is it up to?

Is it one issue per episode or one episode per multi part story.

Last issue was 152. They don't always follow the comics, but at the minute the show is telling the story from issues 94-100, volume 17 I think

Even though the compendiums are pricey it's cheaper than buying the single volumes at £10.99 each which I started doing and wished i got the collected editions instead!

The collected book contains the first 8 volumes which is the first 48 issues. so that's £88.00 on the volume books or circa £144.00 if you bought the individual comic issues as they came out.

That being said you buy the compendium for £30 new on Amazon.

At least it's a double length one, not seen this week's episode I'll be watching it on FX later.

Yeah, an hour without adverts. I'm too impatient to wait

We'll be watching again later, so I can see what I missed this morning
