I haven't seen any of the other Black Mirror episodes, but have set this one to record hoping it works as a standalone episode and doesn't require knowledge of the others.

Shouldn't think so Nos. None of the rest are "connected" etc. Enjoy!!

They're all stand alone stories so far and a lot of them have been really good i thought. So will be watching this too.
I think they're on Ch4 player if you can get that.
Anyone else think they should have called it 4play ?
Rik, Demoncrat and trebor8273 like this.

Watched The Open Door from the Mystery & Imagination set.

What with Jack Hawkins and his rather straaaained delivery plus Molly fricking Weir doing her patented Molly Weir bit, this threatens to capsize within the first 10 minutes, but then they go outside..........

Easily the poorest of the set imo, and apart from one or two moments of unease, the sheer theatricality of the whole thing undermines any real attempt at chills....compared to the rather frenzied take on Sweeney Todd wiht a similar style of overabundance which suited the subject more if I'm honest.

Cough.

Been watching a few series so not had much time for movies

Friday the 13 th the series

Poltergeist the legacy series 2

The outer limits (newer version) season 1 and 2

All anthology series. Poltergeist and 13th may have the same charcaters and a lose plot device to connect them but could of easily been a differnt story and cast each week.

Outer limits has to be the cream of the crop with great acting and story's 90% of the time. Followed by poltergeist and lastly Friday the 13th which is a mixed bag with a lot a poor stories, some decent and the odd standout ones and worst acting of the three but still a lot of fun to be had.

Millennium

Just finished season one, starting season 2. Shame it only got three seasons in some ways I found it a superior show to the xfiles
