Castle

A police procedure show, with a twist of a bestselling mystery writer because of his friendship with the mayor gets follow a homicide detective around for inspiration for his new book. Of course the detective is a woman and our author is attracted to her, so we have the usual will they won't they subplot. Nothing we really haven't seen before but it works because of the great chemistry between the two leads and Nathan Fillion performance as Richard Castle who with his wild theories and child like personality is a joy to watch.

Highlander the series

For me this is superior to the films, and as I said elsewhere Adrian Paul is a better highlander than christopher lambert. Long time since I've seen it so I want to see if it will explain some things for me, what are the immortals and where did they originate from. Also what would happen to one if say you cut them in half, chopped of there limbs, dropped them in acid or set them on fire.

Currently watching:
The Tudors: Historically it takes a large number of liberties but I can overlook that. I think Jonathan Rhys Meyers does a pretty good job at portraying Henry as does Sam Neill, Jeremy Northam, James Frain and Henry Cavill in their roles.

Marco Polo: (The Netflix series). Its ok but I much prefer the 80's Ken Marshall series, the score, the scenery everything. Where as the 80's series took us along the journey through deserts over mountains and along the steppes to get to China, this new series got us there within ten minutes!

Jag: Still plodding my way through this series. Its not too bad at least Catherine Bell is easy on the eye!

I've only got the first series but quite liked it. Are you further along than that?

I watched the first series years ago. Thought it was pretty poor (apart from Tricia Helfer).

Something must have stuck with me as i picked up the complete series dvd from Play.com for a tenner a month or so back.

I think I was expecting more action rather than complicated moral questions. I have also got the original series mixed up in my head with Buck Rogers and keep wondering when that little robot will appear.

The original series and Buck Rogers were both great.

Second Buck Rogers series is a crushing disappointment though.
