That annoyed and puzzled me at the beginning, but I learned to separate it from Hitchcock's 1960 film and treat it as a TV show in its own right.

Strangely i never even thought about it as a problem or annoyance. I did think the town sheriff had more than a passing resemblance to Anthony Perkins though.

I recently watched the 12th season of The Simpsons, which I bought from HMV some time ago and, before beginning the 14th (it doesn't matter if you miss a season here or there), I watched Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, which is one of those brilliant cult TV shows, a little like The IT Crowd and The Mighty Boosh.

On episode six of Fargo, great stuff, plenty of nods to the film.

Watched the TVM sequel The Stepford Children on THC. Nastier in tone than the awful original (Ira Levin obviously hated women imo), it was still the funniest thing that I've seen in ages. Fingers crossed they show the excreta that is Look What Happened To Rosemary's Baby again!!

Although it's been a while, I like the 1975 film – the 2004 remake is abysmal – and find it to be, like the book, to have a strong feminist message as Ira Levin was pretty far from a misogynist and, I believe, wrote the book to criticise women who become willingly subservient to men, and men who demand their wives give up careers to become housewives and mothers.
