Currently watching 'The Borgias' season 1 not as good as I thought it would be! Hasn't grabbed me the same way as 'Game of Thrones' did! Still can't be as bad as 'World Without End' which was so bad I could only stomach two episodes!

Damn fine show!

I re-watched HIGH SCHOOL OF THE DEAD. Still enjoy it. The fan service still feels a little jaring and out of place in what is otherwise a far better zombie tv show than walking dead. Still, every nation has to put their own stamp on the zombie genre. With britain it was british humour (sean of the dead) and with japan I guess its boob jiggles and panty shots

Baccano is hands down one of the best animated TV series of the last decade. Simply superb and highly recommended once again to any non-anime fan's here. The dub is grade A also!

HSotD is my go to place for pop corn anime. Silly, flamboyant, a deliberately silly dub. What's not to like?

Baccano has a dangerous 'just one more episode' factor to it. The end result is its 2am and the evenings gone!

Which release (dvd/bd) of HIGH SCHOOL OF THE DEAD should I pick up?
Is the UK one uncut?

The UK one is uncut and far less expensive. There is a re-issue out soon called drifters of the dead which also includes a bonus ova (basically a made for home video special) thats pretty much nothing but the fan service and dosent really add much to the plot (if thats of any interest!)

In fact the re-issue is looking to be even cheaper.

The OVA was amongst the biggest WTF moments I had ever experienced. Tits and arse galore, butt (bu-dum-tsch!) no zombies. I was utterly bamboozled.
