I've finished watching the first season of Bates Motel, I found myself watching 2-3 episodes at a time. I was unsure about Freddie Highmore to start with, but he is playing this part perfectly, he's so creepy. Vera Farmiga is killing it as Norma, a control freak who is losing her precious grip on everything left, right and centre.

I particularly enjoyed the ending of the last episode, I actually though he'd just run away back home and I was thinking, oh, it's not doing the whole cliffhanger season ending, then there was an extra shot and I went "oooh..."

Going to give it a day or two and watch some films then i'll be diving right in to season 2.

I'm currently three episodes into Robin of Sherwood.

I'm enjoying it immensely. The mystical wyrd England air it has so far makes it totally different from any adaptation i've seen before. Thought Anthony Valentine was excellent as the sorcerer in the first two episodes, pity he had to die.

Michael Praed is very good as Robin and Nickolas Grace is slowly growing in the role of the Sheriff. Sadly Robert Addie's Gisburne is no match for Richard Armitage from the BBC's 2000's series.

I know some will find this sacrilegious but the only thing i'm not keen on is the music from Clannad and those dreary songs that interrupt the action, at least so far. Sure keep the music as it suits the atmosphere but please, stop with the dodgy singing.

All in all though, an impressive start.

Finally!

It's such a fantastic show and I'm glad you're enjoying it. I have fond memories watching it when I was younger.

As shame you're not imbibing the music... for me it compliments the wyrd, dreamy aesthetic in relation to the Hearne / spirituality aspect of the show. Hopefully you'll grow to like it more as it progresses.

I think it's because music like this has been done to death by the likes of Lisa Gerrard warbling over the likes of Gladiator.

I should remember that Clannad were the leaders not followers.

SUPERGIRL S2 EP19-'Ace Reporter'

Lena Luthor's ex boyfriend Jack has perfected medical nanobots that repair injures.
Something is not as it seems as several people with information about the project are killed....

Supergirl returns to TV after a month break.
A good episode which focuses more on Kara and Lena. Supergirl appears only briefly but with a few Guardian scenes the episode rattles along nicely.

THE FLASH S3 EP 19- 'The Once And Future Flash'

The Flash returns after a month's break.
Good episode as Barry heads off to the future of 2024 to find out the identity of Savitar. There he meets the broken and beaten Team Flash and his future self. Killer Frost had also teamed up with Savitar but will not disclose his identity..

Well, I ended up a bit disappointed with Elementary season 3, which is a shame as I thought the first half was great. I loved the introduction of Kitty and she added a breath of fresh air to the whole dynamic (frankly I find her infinitely preferable to Joan, to be brutally honest). I was most disappointed when she was written out halfway through the season (even if her exit episode was superb, easily the best of the season) and everything just went back to the old status quo. Even worse was the complete lack of any comparable arc in the second half, which just seemed to flounder about with no direction, only to then end on a rather poor cliffhanger that didn't feel in any way earned to me.
Oh dear, I do hope it hasn't jumped the shark already. Bah humbug.
