Anybody who liked Peep Show even fleetingly should check out Mitchell and Webbs new sitcom on catch up,brilliantly written by Simon Blackwell who also wrote The Thick of It,Veep and many others and it also has the excellent Geoffrey McGivern who is so good as a sweary uncle,he so good...Matthew Holness also appears as Mitchell's dead dad, good stuff..

I've been watching 'Back" too and can thoroughly recommend it also.
Very entertaining.

Noted. Seen Mr Pickles??

Hunderby. Julia Davis' take on Hardy country. Quite dark in places, slapstick in others. Recommended to those who like her work.

SUPERGIRL S3 EP1- "The Girl Of Steel".

Supergirl new season begins and heads the start of the rest of the DC Universe TV shows.
Kara, still reeling from the loss of Mon-El, devotes all her time as Supergirl and casts aside her Kara Danvers alter-ego.
A good start. Hopefully the shape of things to come and an improvement on last season.

I really need to see the second season of Supergirl – I binge watched the first before it disappeared from Now TV and thought it was very good and really enjoyable, though I wish I'd been watching it simultaneously with The Flash in order to watch the crossover episodes.

THE FLASH S4 EP1- "The Flash Reborn"

Still trying to cope with the events of last season, and a new villain in Central City, Team Flash attempt to retrieve Barry from the Speedforce.

Good start to the new series. Lets hope they keep the pace up and not get bogged down in more Speedforce stories with Dark Flash or another speedster.
Caitlin re-joins the team but can she keep her Killer Frost alter-ego under control?

Caitlin is looking pretty hot for her return..

I've just checked and I have seen the second season, so can now begin watching the third.

Oh dear, The Mentalist ended up being a bit of a disappointment. It started going a bit downhill after a while but season 6 was an absolute cluster****. The climax to the main Red John storyline was such an anti-climactic letdown in every sense. Someone really didn't know how to pay off a story arc. Red John turns out to be... some random dude we met once early in season 1 (I couldn't even remember the character). All that stuff with the Scientology-like religious cult Visualise and the insinuations RJ might be connected to it or even its leader (the great Malcolm McDowell who excelled in a recurring role, only to be completely thrown away and wasted in the end) turned out to be much ado about nothing.
I liked Patrick and Lisbon getting together in the end (so obvious, and they had way more chemistry than Rigsby and Grace ever did) but it was so apparent they were making this whole thing up as they went, and then totally fumbled the ending, that I was just left going WTF. I can only imagine how peeved someone who actually spent years watching it (instead of two months like me) must have felt.

Somebody really needed to watch Buffy or Person of Interest for instructions on how to close an epic story arc in a dramatically and emotionally satisfying manner.
