Currently rewatching season 5 of Dexter. I had no idea - mainly cause I had no idea who he was the last time I watched this - that Jonny Lee Miller is the main villain of this season (a rich and famous "motivational speaker" who's also the leader of a pack of serial rapist-killers). Having become completely addicted to Elementary the last couple of years, and gotten so used to him as Holmes, it's so bizarre seeing him as this cold-blooded psychopath (complete with American accent)!

Yeah, Dempsey and Makepiece is the same. I'm loving every episode.

Sadly Jason King is not so good. I thought it would be superior to Department S, but it isn't. Not even close.

It's not so much camp, more uninspired in the writing dept. I've watched four episodes and none have been that interesting.

Spikings, D & M's boss is a hoot.

He doesn't hold Dempsey in high regard. Towards the end of the first series as he gave Makepiece a mission, he barked at her "And take that bloody Yank with you"

Seeing these posts makes the fact I missed out on the offers by about an hour even worse! I had quite a few box sets in my basket, from The Sweeney to Quatermass and even The World at War, but went to an appointment and by the time I came back all the prices had doubled.
